How to cancel your plan

Yes, this article is easy to find on purpose. Hosting that's confident you'll stay doesn't need to hide the exit.

The steps

  1. Log into the client area.
  2. Open Services, pick the plan you want to end, and choose Request Cancellation.
  3. Pick immediate cancellation or end of the current billing period. End of period is usually the sensible choice, since you've already paid for it.

That's the whole process. No phone call, no chat with a retention specialist, no "let me transfer you to my supervisor."

Before you cancel, download your stuff

Once the service ends, the files and databases on it go too. Take a full backup first: your site files, your databases, and any mailboxes. If you're moving to another host and want help exporting everything cleanly, ask us. We mean it about helping you leave; it's in our pledges.

Refunds

Every hosting plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Cancel within 30 days of your first purchase and the hosting fee comes back in full. Domain registrations are the exception, because registries don't refund us. The details live in our terms.

One request

Tell us why you're going. Not a form with twelve checkboxes, just a sentence in the cancellation request. If something was broken or annoying, an engineer reads that and it genuinely changes what we fix next.
